Santiago de Queretaro contract manufacturing plant acquired by European firm.
Aerosoles y Liquidos S.A. de C.V. of Santiago de Queretaro has been acquired by Colep, a leading European provider of packaging to the personal care and beauty, homecare, healthcare and technical products markets. The new Mexican plant, formerly a contract manufacturing facility for aerosol personal care products, will enable Colep to begin operations aimed at serving both North and Central American. The new facility will be added to the company’s global network of ten existing contract manufacturing plants, and will operate under the name of
Colep, S.A. de C.V.
Until this recent Mexican manufacturing acquisition, Colep’s main sphere of activity took place in the European market The company employs approximately 3,600 employees in contract manufacturing plants in Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Poland, Portugual, Spain and the U.K. In addition to aerosol, the company manufactures liquid and cream products.
In addition to Europe, an now North and Central America, Colep is also a major player in Asia and Southeast Asia. In conjunction with the One Asa organization, the company is also active in the Australian, Japanese, Thai, Indian and Chinese markets.
With the acquisition of new contract manufacturing capacity in North America, Colep plans to expand the production capacity of the Santiago de Queretaro plant, and to continue to expand its global manufacturing footprint to be the pre-eminent partner of global consumer goods companies worldwide, as well as its company mission of providing its customers with product manufacturing and packaging solutions through innovation, technology and sustainable practices.
